280daily is moving to Raq.com

After 15 years of daily journalling, 280daily is moving! It’s now part of Raq.com, rebuilt with a new iPhone, Android and web app.
Your entries and photos come with you. The import runs on Raq.com itself, not inside the apps, and takes a couple of minutes:
- Create a free account at Raq.com – sign up with the same email address you use on 280daily and the import needs no extra verification
- Open the Journal and click Import
- Confirm your 280daily email address and the import starts – your entries and photos come across automatically
Once it’s done, everything appears in the iPhone and Android apps too.
The Journal is free on Raq.com, just like 280daily has always been. Raq.com has paid plans for its other tools and AI features, but you don’t need one to keep journalling.
The old 280daily.com web app will be wound down later this year. Don’t worry if you’re not ready – importing will still work after the site closes.

Timeview PRO and themes

So, it’s been a little while since we’ve had a proper blog post, hopefully you’ve noticed some of the minor updates over the past nine months. Earlier today we released a few key features and updates.
Timeview for PRO
PRO users now have an exciting new interface for navigating through their entries. It’s a really easy and intuitive way to look back through your entries and is especially good if you have lots of photo uploads. To preview it in action you need a minimum of three entries, you can find in by navigating to View Entries -> Timeview (PRO).
New look and themes
You may have noticed the look and feel of 280daily has been subtly enhanced. If you’re not a fan of the new look, you can switch back by navigating to Settings -> Themes and selecting “Classic”. There you’ll also find a number of PRO themes, that provide greater contrast and additional design features.
Recent login activity
Along with all that, you can now view the recent login activity of your account. This gives you the ability to sign out of all other locations for peace of mind. Useful if you’ve logged in at a public location and forgot to sign out. To access your activity log, scroll all the way down and bottom right of the footer you’ll find a link to your “Recent login activity”. The data is available for 2 days for non-PRO users and 30 days for PRO. Failed login attempts are also recorded on PRO accounts.
Updates coming February

It’s two years today since 280daily launched. Usage has quadrupled over the past year and although we’ve been incrementally improving 280daily, we haven’t released any significant updates over the past nine months. Good news, there are a few updates and features on the way early next month, so please keep an eye out!
Email and SMS in new entries and updates with 280daily PRO

280daily PRO is here! Features include:
- The ability to set your own custom character limit. Plus the ability to add almost unlimited characters on the fly.
- The ability to email in new entries by replying to your daily reminder or by emailing today@280daily.com or yesterday@280daily.com. If you have links enabled on your account, just replace your subject line with the link you’d like to include. You can also attach a JPG or PNG photo to your entry.
- Users in the US, UK and Canada can also send it entries through SMS and also receive SMS reminders daily, every other day or weekly.
- Some users have separate logins for different areas of life (e.g. personal and business). You can now quickly switch accounts with just one click. When linked, PRO is activated across all accounts.
- PRO user book purchases are automatically discounted 10%. New PRO only features will be released over the coming months and years.

Along with PRO, we’ve also rolled out improvements in photo support and new entry selection for all users.
PDF export improvements

Earlier today we rolled out some significant improvements to 280daily’s export to PDF functionality. An overview of the main updates can be seen below:
- Improved PDF layout
- Better support for foreign characters
- The ability to password protect your PDF
- Vastly reduced PDF file size

280daily gets a homepage refresh

Export to book now available

After a few delays the export to book functionality is now ready and available to anyone with over 30 entries. It’s been kept extremely simple. You have a choice of background, title, subtitle, inclusion of uploaded photos and the ability to select only the entries you’d like included in the book.
Due to the quality of the books, along with the costs of running the site, delivery and labour costs, we couldn’t get the price as low as we’d of liked. However the books are of an extremely high quality and the price isn’t dependent on the number of entries. Therefore, for the best value, we recommend over 50 entries, but the minimum is set at 30 entries.
